Has it been a while since you searched for a new job? Or maybe you've owned your own company and never had to look for a new job until....now?
Job search is hard, and add to that the complexity of not knowing what to do can add stress.
Here are a few steps you can take to figure out what roles and titles you should go for
Start with writing down your daily duties on a piece of paper or a Google Doc
Did you talk to customers all day? Were you a consultant? Did you manage multiple projects? Whatever it was, you need to write it down
You will write down 5 daily tasks and 5 monthly tasks. Once you have this list, go to ChatGPT.
In ChatGPT type in, "Based on this list of 10 duties, recommend a 5 job titles I am suited for: (insert all 10 duties right after the semi-colon"
This will give 5 job titles that you can explore. From here, go to Indeed or LinkedIn and type in 1 of the titles and look for jobs in your area. Click on a job and see if the description matches what you want to do.
Do this for each job title (and try different industries!), and you will start narrowing down your search for your next job.
